Static Screens are placed at the outside of the channel to prevent particles in the influent water. It provides an advanced screening due to the very small screen opening. Particles are kept on the surface of the screen and clean water is filtered through the screen pores during water inflow. A mechanical cleaner is generally not required for screen cleaning. The cleaning process utilizes the energy released during the flow of water.
