Waste press is used to reduce the volume of the particles retained on the screen or grid surface after removal from the system. Waste of the screen and grid contain high amounts water. Dewatering and volume reduction is importance in all necessary steps to remove waste from the facility. The volume of the waste and the water content are reduced, thus facilitating transportation and reducing transportation costs. Depending on the type of the solids particles, the grating type in the compactor can be produced as performed or wedge – wire as required. Compressed wastes are removed from the system through the discharge pipe after dewatering.
