It is known that most natural water cause damages in pipes, boilers, heaters and other installations. Some contain dissolved minerals mainly calcium and magnesium salts. These types of water are called hard water. Hard water form scale and corrosion in water systems. Consequently the tap water turns brown (so-called brown water) and result the pipes leaks and burst. This leads to disadvantages and higher energy demand.

Antiscalant Ball prevents scale and stops corrosion. Because of phosphate and silicate very low concentration of Antiscalant Ball will inhibit the deposition of scale onto the metallic surface. Meanwhile active substance will form a thin protective layer onto the metallic surface to inhibit the corrosion. Antiscalant Ball will also slowly remove the existing scale in old pipes. However 2-3ppm of active substance could achieve the effects. Specific dosage should be based on real water quality.

Dispensers and water filters can be installed in almost every water system without electric installation and maintenance. They just to be refilled with Antiscalant Ball as consumed. Refilling is as easy as pouring water. The tap water flows through the dispensers and filters meanwhile low quantities of polyphosphate dissolved. Dispensers and filters do not cause critical pressure drop in the water pipes and they should be drained in case of a long stagnation period (3 months).

We recommend Antiscalant Ball to be used together with water softeners after blending with raw water because softened water will cause corrosion.
